From September 2010, the Conversational club is going to be every other Monday:

At Rockley Golf Club restaurant, from 6.00pm to 7.30pm.

Come to meet other French-speakers, share a chat and practice your French around various themes such as sports, culture, life in Barbados, society, languages, the last local and international events… even watching a movie.

Spread the message, bring your friends and enjoy a talk in French

Our new group classes are starting on April 18th, until June 24th, 2011

Place:

At University of West Indies, Alister McIntyre Building, first floor (next to CARICOM Research Center and International Office building)

Schedule:

Fun French for tout-petits / little children (games, songs): Friday, 4:00pm – 5:00pm

Adults – basic beginners, first level: Monday and Wednesday, 5:30pm – 7:00pm

Adults – beginners 2nd level: Monday and Wednesday, 7;00pm – 8:30pm

Adults – beginners, Third level (at UWI): Tuesday and Thursday, 5:30pm – 7:00pm

Adults – intermediate, first level (at UWI): Tuesday and Thursday, 7:00pm – 8:30pm

CXC preparation, interactive class (at UWI): Friday 5:00pm – 6:30pm

All classes are subject to a minimum of 6 students

Tuition fees:

• Adults – all levels: $300 BDS for a 10 weeks course, 30 contact hours, 3hrs per week.

• Tout petits / Little children club (games, songs, introduction to French): $100 BDS for a 10 week course, 10 contact hours.

Books : Alter Ego (actional method), based on CEFR-Common European Frame of Reference for languages

- price depending on the level, all lasting several terms – :

A1 (1^st level – beginner): $90 BDS

A2 (2^nd level – beginner): $105 BDS

B1 (3^rd level – intermediate): $120 BDS

B2 (4^th level – intermediate): $135 BDS

C1 (5^th level – advanced): $150 BDS

Registration fees / Membership :

All students (except Alliance Française members) registering for a French course are asked to settle a registration fee of :

-Registration fee : $50BDS (one year)   /   --Family fee (4 members and up) : $180BDS (one year)   /  You can also become a member of the Alliance for $50 per year ($25 for official Barbados students ; $150 for a family of 4 members and up). On Monday evenings, meet other French speakers of Barbados and practice French language in a nice and relaxing atmosphere,

twice a month, every other Monday evening, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm

This social is open to all member of the Alliance française.
